Founderly vs. LEXR: one-off startup contracts

LEXR is worth considering when the contract sits inside broader specialist work. For a discrete document, compare a small fixed-fee assignment against the actual LEXR scope rather than a whole-package headline.

By Founderly · Updated . We offer contract services and include our own service in these guides. This is a comparison of published offers, not an independent service test.

Our scoped offer

Founderly publishes four per-contract options. We confirm which one fits your document, the deliverables and the tax treatment in the quote before work begins.

Simple review CHF 250
Simple review, up to three pages. Confirm the document fits this scope.
Standard review CHF 500
Standard review, three to twenty-five pages, with redlines, one internal revision and a negotiation guide.
Negotiation CHF 1'000
Negotiation support. Agree the document, counterpart contact and completion point before starting.
Custom drafting CHF 2'000
Custom drafting. Smaller drafting projects can receive a separate scoped offer.

The three-page boundary and complex documents are confirmed during scoping. See the current packages and inclusions.

When staying with LEXR makes sense

A contract may depend on financing, equity, employment, privacy or regulatory questions. A broader team can be useful when these need to be coordinated. LEXR publishes both package and hourly information, so it should not be portrayed as an automatically unpredictable hourly-only alternative.

Its free generators are also a credible starting route for suitable documents. Using a free tool and then commissioning specialist work can be a reasonable progression; buying individual help does not require dismissing the original provider.

Scope the single task first

Write down the contract, annexes, unresolved questions and desired output. If the need is only a review of a short service agreement, compare equivalent offers. If the need expands to several documents or negotiations, ask how the engagement changes.

Founderly can quote the individual assignment before work begins. Ask who handles the matter, which specialists may be needed and how the next draft is treated. A lower task price is not evidence that it includes everything in a larger package.

A practical example

One customer agreement during a financing round

If the agreement affects the financing conditions or raises material IP questions, coordinating with the team handling the round can be valuable. If it is a routine stand-alone sale, a separately scoped review may be enough. Decide on that connection before comparing the fees.

Ask before you choose

  1. Is this document connected to a broader transaction?
  2. What is included in the package I am comparing?
  3. Who handles specialist questions if they emerge?
