Founderly vs. STARTUPS.CH: startup contracts

You can keep using your formation provider for contracts, or choose help for each new business need. Separate incorporation work from the agreements your company signs once it is trading.

By Founderly · Updated . We offer contract services and include our own service in these guides. This is a comparison of published offers, not an independent service test.

Prices are published indications, not individual quotes. VAT, limits and exclusions are shown where established. Confirm the full price and scope before ordering. A free template and an individually reviewed contract are different services.

Our scoped offer

Founderly publishes four per-contract options. We confirm which one fits your document, the deliverables and the tax treatment in the quote before work begins.

Simple review CHF 250
Simple review, up to three pages. Confirm the document fits this scope.
Standard review CHF 500
Standard review, three to twenty-five pages, with redlines, one internal revision and a negotiation guide.
Negotiation CHF 1'000
Negotiation support. Agree the document, counterpart contact and completion point before starting.
Custom drafting CHF 2'000
Custom drafting. Smaller drafting projects can receive a separate scoped offer.

The three-page boundary and complex documents are confirmed during scoping. See the current packages and inclusions.

Formation and trading create different document needs

A company's formation package does not tell you what is included when a customer later sends a purchase agreement. List your next concrete task: hiring, selling a service, sharing confidential information or agreeing ownership arrangements.

STARTUPS.CH publishes several document-specific entry prices. Those make it a legitimate option for founders who want its process and related services. Confirm customisation, revisions and any discussion with the other party before assuming they are included.

When a separate provider may fit

If you are working on someone else's agreement, ask for review of that document rather than another template. If the agreement changes over several rounds, make the response work explicit in the scope. A narrow draft and a negotiated contract have different workloads.

For a basic first version, free generators deserve consideration. For individual work, compare the same document type and complexity. A low NDA fee is not the price of a shareholder arrangement or a customer contract with several schedules.

A practical example

The company is formed; the first employee is joining

Start with the role, location, working arrangements and any equity or IP documents. Ask which pieces the employment-contract offer includes. If equity terms are separate, commission them explicitly. Choosing one supplier may reduce coordination, while a focused single task can suit a different provider.

Ask before you choose

  1. Which document do we actually need next?
  2. Is the quoted fee for a template, tailored draft or review?
  3. Are the associated documents and revisions included?
